Söderberg & Partners expands outside the Nordics
- Enters strategic partnership in the Netherlands, focusing on robo-advising
Söderberg & Partners has entered into a strategic partnership with the Dutch financial service provider Floreijn. The partnership marks Söderberg & Partners first expansion outside the Nordics, and the ambition is to grow within robo-advising and traditional investment advising in the Netherlands.
The partnership with Floreijn provides an opportunity for Söderberg & Partners to offer their fintech-solutions, such as robo-advising, to the Dutch market. Söderberg & Partners was one of the first companies in Sweden to build robo-advising services, and the firm’s approach has been to primarily use robo-advising in a hybrid model – supported by traditional advisors. This is a model that many international, pure breed robo-advisors are now starting to deploy.
- Floreijn has positioned themselves as a strong challenger in the Dutch financial industry, and one of their key focuses are investment advising, for example when transitioning from a defined benefit pension plan to a defined contribution pension plan. We believe their market position, combined with our fintech solutions, will enable us to provide sound financial advising to an even greater number of Dutch savers, says Gustaf Rentzhog, CEO, Söderberg & Partners.
The Dutch finance and pension market has a lot of potential. The Dutch pension market alone has the equivalent size of the entire Nordic market, and it is characterized by an increasing demand for individual investment advising and updated legislation regarding commissions.
Floreijn was founded in 2007 by three entrepreneurs and are located in Rotterdam and Gouda. It is a fast growing company, and they have won large clients such as Unit4, TNS and Toyota Material Handling. Floreijn will initially to continue operations under their own brand.
